This device is light years ahead of any solution I‘ve ever seen.

This little device REVOLUTIONIZES my violin. Seriously. I’m probably going to practice all night. Kevin Krentz is a freaking genius. I’m seriously impressed.
Emma McGrath, Associate Chair of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra
It works beautifully. I have tried all the solutions out there and nothing has ever worked. The Krentz Modulator not only works but improves the tone in general because it seems also to eliminate imperfections in the strings themselves!

A wolf note and how it happens

Image
As you remember from physics class, when two vibrations match, they double in power, volume.
Image
When two vibrations are exactly opposite they cancel each other. Silence. This is how noise canceling headphones work.
2 vibrations on the cello mixing!

1 the volume of air inside the cello doesn’t change and vibrates strongly at the frequency of your wolf note.

2 when you play the same note, the top of the cello vibrates.

Image
On the cello the 2 vibrations almost match.

Sometimes the waves are the same and double in volume.

Sometimes the waves are opposite and cancel each other.

The Krentz Modulator has saved my relationship with my cello. Not only does it solve the wolf issues but it to also enhances the instrument in ways I previously did not experience before. This is by far the best product out there.
Patrick Jee, New York Philharmonic

How the Krentz Modulator is Different

The top of the instrument vibrates in different places for different notes. It is most active here in the wolf register of the cello. Imagine this excited vibrating area like a trampoline. Rather than simply putting something in the center of the trampoline to stop it, the Krentz Modulator operates at the springs on the side. This changes the vibration instead of simply absorbing them.
